Each year, the Baking Industry Awards brings us together to celebrate the innovation, diversity and resilience of our sector.
With award categories ranging from Best Celebration Cake Business to Best Supermarket In-store Bakery, and, of course, the much coveted Baker of the Year award, the ceremony has a reputation as a night of glamour, elegance and excitement, with bakers and supporters from across the country aspiring to scoop an accolade for their hard work.
This year was certainly no exception, as representatives from wide and far found their way to the exquisite Park Lane Hilton, to be greeted by a Moulin Rouge-themed ballroom, complete with red windmill chandelier.
The BSB was proud to support this unique event with a table of delegates that included Vice Chairman Paul Turner and committee members Suzanne Galbraith and Brian Clarke.
After the awards presentation, hosted with stunning style by Rugby World Cup champion Matt Dawson, the evening’s entertainment was provided by spectacular can-can dancers. Award-winners raised their stylish trophies to be photographed and attendees enjoyed the casino tables and disco until the early hours. And that all important Baker of the Year honour was bagged by the inimitable Dominic Salter of Cheltenham’s The Sandwich Box.
We would like to thank William Reed Business Media for making this dazzling event so memorable and to congratulate all of the category winners on their success. We certainly can’t wait for next year!
